We offer group tours, museum scavenger hunts, and outreach programs where we take history on the road around Bradford County. We are glad to work with school teachers and other youth programs who would like to set up a local history learning experience for your children.
There is no cost for student tours. We are pleased to provide an educational experience that they will remember for years to come.
Our facilities are fully handicapped accessible including doorways, restrooms, and an elevator. Parking spaces are located near the entrance.
We can accommodate 30 students with 2 tour guides. For larger groups, we can schedule two or more tours in one day, or over multiple days.
We realize that kids are excited. We simply ask that groups listen to the tour guide, raise their hand to ask questions, and only touch items when the tour guide allows.
Yes. We have a large room available and tables and chairs can be set up in advance. Please make arrangements when you reserve your tour. Food and drinks must remain in the Great Room only.
No. We will do our best to speak at a level that is most appropriate for your group. We suggest that students be no younger than 2nd grade in order to get the most out of the tour.
Yes. We have accommodated both school buses and charter buses, however, we suggest that the bus drop off students and park on Main Street, Pine Street, or Second Street, due to space.
We ask that any bags, water bottles, and pens/markers be left in the gift shop or in the Great Room during the tour in order to protect items on display in the museum
A guided tour lasts one hour. We provide a scavenger hunt to complete during the tour and then we reassemble at the end to answer the questions.
